I need to know what is the cheapest way to buy a computer for gaming or to build one myself?

Hello, I downloaded the demo for the game World in conflict and was working well on my laptop and I move on to buy the actual game. Unfortunately my computer did not had the minimum requirements. I did not check that. Since I like to play computer games maybe I should get a gaming computer. I havent bougth one because I am not a hardcore gamer. I need to know what I need to build or buy a gaming computer

If you find the computer on sale, then it is cheaper to buy. To build it yourself, it maybe cheaper if you buy the part cheap but you have to go through lot of steps in building it, if it does not turn out well, lot of time consuming in troubleshooting. I’ve done it myself, built 2 computers with core 2 duo processor, one turn out great, the other…headache….still.

You should might build one yourself, though considering World in Conflict’s required specs it looks like you could buy a decent on off HP for <$750

Looking at the system requirements this is what you probably want.

    Intel Core 2 , E6×50 or E8xxx(E8400 is recommended)

    Geforce 9500GT or 9600GT PCI-E 2.0

    Decent Socket 775 motherboard

    RAM: 2-3 gigs of DDR2

    500 watt power supply

    Hard drive of any size(SATA)

    CD/DVD drive

    ATX case

    This shoud run from $550-$800
