Is a usb computer gaming headset compatible with the usb on a PS3?

I am a bout to purchase a computer gaming usb compatible headset for my PS3, and I am wondering if it will work. I know there are usb headsets designed for the PS3, but this one has an audio to usb converter with it. Will it work?

ANY usb headset can be used on the PS3. I used my old one until I got bluetooth. You just need to make sure you activate it on the PS3 options.

ill go for a bluetooth set, and the good thing about that, is that you can hook up any bluetooth headset with the ps3, is doesn’t really has to be made specifycly for the ps3. I got 1 for around 20 bucks,a Jabra Bluetooth headset, and i have probibly, around 5 months with it and i havent had any problems with it
