Why not be happy about illumination? lol, i mean seriously the illumination is cool and the backlit keyboard has almost become a necessity for me after using it for so long. They give you the specs, this isn’t a full performance review, its just an overview of the actual laptop

why is everybody happy about the illumination….g-sus i mean what´s the point in having a gaming computer that lighs up like a christmas tree when you start gaming….lol. No information about the performence in games. All i know is that i don´t have to put on the lights because this machine is going to light up to 15 yard around me when booted. What sucks aswell …
What sucks aswell is that the gtx 260m in the g51vx is factory underclocked, so its only as powerful as a 9800m gts, AND IT STILL OVERHEATS!

the cooling in these the g51vx sucks. on the furmark stress test, at stock clocks, I reached 102C on the GPU. That’s rediculous! I am getting a laptop cooler. what I may do after the warranty expires is open it up and add a bunch of extra heatsinks, and add an extra fan to that unused spot. That spot is like a fake supercharger on a car

True, I opened mine up only 3 days ago to find that the supposed vent was completely blocked out by a black synthetic cover. I know that this is to aid the existing cooling architecture of the system, but my system (gtx 260m and q9000) still reaches 90 deg. cel. on the GPU regularly, and 80 on the already undervolted CPU????

Thats not a speaker at the bottom, its a fan intake for the cooling system. Its surprising how many people do reviews of this and the old g50vt and get that wrong.

ExpressGate sux. I installed an SSD with Windows 7 on my G51 and it boots faster.
PLEASE, ASUS, release a utility to turn off the LEDs.
