    Oh i’m not referring to that, i’m referring to the gap between the glossy speaker surround and the metal case, because as I think I can see in the video that there’s light bleeding from the gaps (either that or Its just reflections due to the glossy piece)? but thanks for your quick response anyway. I’m just asking the question as to build quality, because I’ve had problems with dell XPS’s in the past regarding build quality, and I hope they’ve rectified fit and finish issues with the m17x.

    Hi, the light comes out of the speaker ports – it doesn’t leak out of a gap, it’s a design feature :-)

    Having spoken to the tech guys, here’s the verdict:
    Core 2 has the total 6Mb cache split into two (3Mb per core)
    Quad Core has the the total cache split into 4 cores.
    If your processor is quad core with 6mb cache then it’s 1.5 Mb per core.
    On this basis, quad core is better for number-crunching such as CAD, Coreldraw and things like that, but for gaming, (where I believe the processing is more focussed in one area), the Core2Duo would be better for you.
