i stopped watching when youre video said that gaming laptop needs lots of GPU RAM, an ati 5470 512mb will perform very similar to its 1gb counterpart.

Is the Dell XSP 16 any good? Seems to have nice specs that i can upgrade if wanted and for a nice price of around $1200.

@MegadrixfireZ So many choices but you could look at the Asus G73JH-A1 or G51JX-A1. The G73JH-A1 has Intel Core i7 processor, DirectX 11-enabled ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870 graphics processor with 1GB GDDR5 VRAM, and 8GB DDR3 of system memory. Then compare it with similar laptops from Alienware, Sager and even the new HP Envy 17.

i need a gaming laptop of at least 1800 dollars or 1900 dollars.
any recommendations of a good laptops that wont give me any lag on any game like GTA 4, crysis, etc…?

@em2oblivion Yes – you are correct – 512 MB would be just as good as 1 Gig card but in the video it says to check to see if you have at least 512MB of video memory because 256MB just doesn’t cut it with the latest games.

@MegadrixfireZ Hard to judge – would depend how each one is configed… I would look for a GPU that could handle DirectX 11… not many games with that yet but kinda future proofing. Would look at the new i5 or i7 processors… and have Full 1080p display with Blu-ray. Top brands are Alienware, Falcon, Sager, Rockdirect… Voodoo Envy were among those names until HP bought it – so I would be looking at the Envy 17 but the heat issue still concerns me – more feedback is needed before I buy.

hey so im thinkin about gettin a laptop for around 800 dollars. I want to be able to play games and stuff like starcraft 2, FFXIV, and crysis 2 and stuff. ive been looking at the HP DV6T do you think this is a good choice or do you have any other ideas?
