    I have to disagree …
    I have to disagree that it is a portable as a 15″ laptop. This beast is HEAVY. It’s basicly a sports car/tank/laptop. It’s insanely good, but very large. I definately recommend. Unless you are a little man, then get the M11x. If you like heavy laptops get the M17x, it’s more powerful then the M15x.

    actually no.

    you …
    actually no.

    you didnt get the gtx 260m so you will be limited to 25-30 frams at a low res.

    the gt 240m is 512 and is worse then the 8800gtx which is 30% weaker then the gtx 260m

    the gt 240m wont run games at max at 1080 but the 260 will

    all those weak pussy’s can have their 1.6ghz atom processes which weigh 500 grams..but if your a man who can handle a bit of weight, get this.

    I am planning to …
    I am planning to buy alienware m15x.
    1gb Geforce GTX 260M fixed in both choices for below.
    1)i7-720qm;256gb ssd;4 GB-1333 Mhz Ram
    2)i7-820qm;128gb ssd;4 GB-1333 Mhz Ram
    I thought ssd is better than hdd because of loading time and better gaming performance. 128 gb seems very little however I`m not sure 1st choice would be better because of downgrading the processor from i7-820 to i7-720.Another issue is hdd or sdd. What u think about it? Waiting for your answers. Thanks.

    Actually its not a lie. They keep putting it up on the site for a day or so and taking it down for weeks on end. Anyway, I’ve got one now, so I don’t really care! :)

    Hmm, I’m in the US, in California, I go to the Alienware site and the M15x and I can customize it to having a GTX 260m.

    It doesn’t allow you to do it with the standard CPU, for some reason you have to do the Core i7 or whatever.

    GTX 260m isn’t at the end of it’s lifespan, I’d prefer a GTX 285m though.

    New ones are coming though as always.

    @Usul573

    Where …
    @Usul573

    Where are you ordering from? Most countries have replaced the card with a 512MB NVIDIA GeForce GT240M and thats the ONLY option…

    Somebody mentioned the GTX260M being at the end of its lifespan. Apparently they might be upgrading the chip and in the meantime they’re offering a sub-par replacement.

    THIS SUCKS!

    I want to buy a M15x so badly but I don’t want to waste my time if it isn’t going to be high spec in all departments…

    -_-
