[LGRQ] Repton – Acorn Electron Computer Game

An overview of the game Repton by Superior Software, played on an Acorn Electron computer.

Lazy Game Reviews Quickie #1

These LGRQ videos are a break from my “full length” reviews to simply show more arcade-like games and give my opinion on the game and how it plays. The goal is to do this in around 3 minutes for each game, unscripted and unrehearsed.

Review starts at 1:40

Duration : 0:5:3

    @phreakindee Well, trust me. Regardless of the effort in these videos, the name is one that sticks very well. I also enjoy watching the Angry Video Game Nerd, but you don’t need elaborate plots or special effects to get in the way of concrete info and opinion. Keep up the good work.

    Could you do a review of Fury 3
    Its a 3D flight combat simulator for Windows 3.1
    I was just playing it on a emulated Windows 3.1 installation on DOSBox, but it also works on XP and Vista with no DOSBox, although you will need 3.1 and DOSBOX for joystick support and Fullscreen.

    @SeoTaijiboy …
    @SeoTaijiboy Sometimes I think that was a mistake. It was indeed the original idea behind them, to be as lazy as possible while retaining some quality. I really am quite laid-back and lazy as possible when making them. But it comes off as not lazy at all and therefore very confusing. I kind of feel stuck with the name now…

    @Tito0096 Yes. Plus I don’t have the many hundreds of dollars laying around to invest in quality HD equipment. And VHS fits the period these games are from so I use it.

    @vwestlife Haha, yeah I wanted to toss that in here somehow. I found it funny that it does fault the user directly, it’s so blunt. Even “bad command or file name” sounds a bit better than simply “mistake”!
