My Gaming Reviews/Editorials Website?

I have just started a video game website called IMO Gamers.com, www.imogamers.com. It is a place where anybody can submit game reviews/editorials and have it published to the site. I was wondering about your opinion of the site. I’m also looking for recommendations on what can be done to improve the website.

Thats a Good start! I like the layout. I Also started a Website! GoreGamer! goregamer.com. I have had the website and idea FOREVER!!! But since I have ideas that branch off ideas and then those Ideas spawn little ideas, next thing you know my site never really went anywhere. So I like the site and add to is as needed. Manage the template well and edit it with caution.

I would tell a lot of gamers about it, if you an xbox, ps3, or comp tell your friends about it. Non-gamer friends probably wont go to the website. Also I would have an official review and a video so people can see the gameplay. There will be a lot of pissed fanboys that give modern warfare 2 a 1 out of 10 cause there getting owned and a official review might help. I would also have funny shorts based on video games, thats the reason I liked the old X-Play so much. I would also primarily review good unknown games. A lot of more reliable sources(IGN and X-Play) will almost always get to the popular games(MW2, L4D2) b4 you do. No one wants to watch the same review over and over. Also once you get big enough, you should try to get previews from game companies(Dont go for an interview with Bungie about Reach while ur just starting out) I would also have a section for iPhone games. You wont have many big competitors and the games will be cheap. Speaking of cheap, to save money, I would rent all the games you review, unless you actually want to keep it. You should also make the reviews funny, cause only hardcore gamers will want to see gameplay with a boring voice describing it in the background. You should also have a good community, and talk to frequent users, to make them feel welcome. This is one thing small businesses have over big ones. So pretty much, be funny, start out small, and keep a good community.
