I like pc gaming …
I like pc gaming more because when you play console most of the time i feel kind of outside the game where as on pc you are so much closer and i really feel as if im in the game though i must say some games are much better on the consoles and usually i dont really care what the story is when i play on a console.

some very good points made there dude, nice and unbiased, gaming should be about the gaming not how much you spent to partake in the gaming. However, i have given up the consoles for the super power of my high end PC, i have never had any probs with virus’s but did have some with the 5970’s earlier drivers so it off and went back to nvidea with 2 480’s, only thing is the games that are coming out on PC that are worth playing are few and far between compared to console releases.

secondly, the gameplay on the consoles suck, you cant aim or move as free as on a pc, thats a fact. Of course if you compare the graphics on games played on a modernized gaming PC to a Xbox 360, the games will look better because all the games were first developed on computers and the graphics card enables gamers to enhance certain details in the graphics engine.

This guy is right, it is completely preference. I played videos games everything from a commadore 64, atari, Nintendo, Sega, all the Playstations, and Xboxs and I just recently got into PC gaming so I went out and spend 500 on the new graphics card, and 300 on a corsair obsidian 800d case and i’m still getting more parts until it’s finished so I can enjoy gaming on the PC as well. I like all gaming in general and I have learned that it’s a matter of preference to you as a gamer what you like.

I understand what you mean… but a good (simplistic/streamlined) “console like” platform, for the PC, is Steam; I rarely have problem when it comes to PC gaming and Steam.
I don’t play PC games for the graphics; I play it for open source content, emulators, and peripherals (which you mentioned, but still). It really comes down to the “openness” of the platform — and the PC doesn’t hold my hands behind my back (so to speak).

Your absolutely right. I prefer PC gaming, because I personally find that great graphics makes the experience more fun. But console gaming is simpler and easier. It all depends on what you like.
