Classic Game Room reviews the SNK Neo-Geo Pocket Color handheld game console from 1999! This sequel to the black and white NeoGeo Pocket had color and higher hopes but still failed to gain a foothold against the Nintendo Game Boy and Sega Game Gear. Lack of a backlit screen and small software library kept the SNK Neo Geo Pocket Color to a niche market, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t awesome. The Neo-Geo Pocket Color is a 16-bit hand held videogame console with games like Samurai Shodown and Gals Fighters that have a catchy cartoony look and awesome gameplay. It has a thumbstick instead of a D-pad and two buttons. Because of the non-backlit screen the Neo Geo Pocket has excellent battery life. Its design is pleasing and the SNK NeoGeo Pocket Color has a handy portable size which fits your hands well and makes gameplay comfortable. Asus G50vt x5 Gaming Laptop

Classic Game Room HD reviews the VECTREX video game console from GCE (General Consumer Electric) from 1982. The Vectrex is unique in that is plays video games on its own screen with vector based graphics giving a very crisp image that fans of old school games from the late 70’s and early 80’s should enjoy. The Vectrex has some excellent games like Berzerk and Scramble, but not as many as the venerable Atari 2600 or ColecoVision. New games are being released for the Vectrex from homebrew developers and the game system is surprisingly easy to find and collect today thanks to eBay. Vectrex games come with an overlay that fits over the screen and gives a splash of color and lists the controls. Classic Game Room HD reviews the SEGA CD add-on for the Sega Genesis video game console! Or the Mega CD for those of you with Megadrives. Same thing, different colors and name. The Sega CD was originally released by Sega in 1992, updated with the model 2 in 1994/1995. It plays.. you guessed it, SEGA CD games! The MegaCD is a pretty cool device that attached to your Mega Drive (which is Mega rad) and plays compact discs with awesome video games on them like Android Assault, Silpheed, Robo Aleste and Sewer Shark. CD media is different than cartridges and back in the day this was pretty high technology. Should you buy a Sega CD? Will your MD collection be better off if kept company by a stack of Sega CD games? Well… yes. Classic Game Room goes into great detail to look over the Mega CD and review how it works, functions and operates. CGRHD is the money bomb when it comes to retro gaming reviews. Word up!
