Are thin Hair-line cracks in the center of a video-game normal?

I have always seen the inside circle of all of my x-box and playstation games get small, thin, hair-line cracks and its always worried me…
Is it normal or is it someting i should be concearned about?
Okay now can i keep the games life longer be not using the case provided and instead useing a CD carrier that dosen’t require you poke a plastic tab until you can get it on?

And last time this happend to one of my disc’s I put some fiber glass on the inside and used a little ,spelling this phonetially, o-poxy resign on it letting it dry then sand ing the inside until it could work again with out any problems…
was that a smart thing to do BTW?

no, there are not normal. eventually the cracks will get larger and get down to the data holding part of the disk. this will break your game if you are not careful. that’s what happened to my halo 3. just make shure you don’t stress the games inside circle when you are putting it in it’s case.
