Just yesterday "Kimveer Gill, 25, of Laval, near Montreal" shot over 20 people leaving one dead and many in very critical condition. Apparently one of his favorite video games was called ""Super Columbine Massacre," an Internet-based computer game that simulated the April 20, 1999, shootings at the Colorado high school by two of its students that left 12 classmates and one teacher dead."
I posted a question to see if such violent video games like "Super Columbine Massacre" should be legal and surprising many of the responses thought it should be legal. We really are off balance when it comes our legal concept of freedom.
Everything needs limits to be healthy. I’m not talking about total limits or total freedom just simply some common sense will do.
No, they shouldn’t. Especially since its based of someone else tragedy. All it does is desensitize people and inputs the thought of harming others,and in people who already are in that thinking mode it increases the desire.

Yes, we do need limits to be healthy. I just don’t believe that it’s the governments duty to enforce MORAL LIMITS. It’s the governments responsibility to pursue LAWBREAKERS, not people possessing poor taste or judgment.

I like violent video games. I really really like violent video games. You are going to tell me that we can’t make such games or let people play such games because one of them might lose his grip on reality and go on a rampage shooting spree? Is your last name Stalin?
You are the one who doesn’t understand freedom. No matter what you do to ’sanitize’ society there will always be crazies out there who will perpetrate violent acts on society. Denying me my freedom to play the games I like wouldn’t make any difference in your idea of Utopian society.
